KILGORE FARMS is a 130 acre development off of Woodruff Rd and located near the Five Forks area of Simpsonville. Currently, Kilgore Farms has about 140 homes. New phases are in process that will allow for another 100 homes. Additional acreage earmarked for future development will allow the community to reach almost 350 homes. Recent construction in the newest phases of Kilgore Farms has made a number of new homes available for viewing and early move-ins.
Homes in Kilgore Farms are traditional in design. About a half dozen area custom builders have contributed to the community thus providing in a nice mixture of styles and exterior finishes. Hogan Properties, the original developer, constructed many of the homes in Kilgore Farms and was the first to introduce “Star Energy” homes. Floor plans range from single to multi-level with most of the homes in Kilgore Farms being two story; a few feature basements. Home exteriors blend a nice mixture of brick, stone, and/or siding. Interiors feature quality upgrades in appliances and treatments.
Lots in the current phases (thru V) of Kilgore Farms average around .25 acres. About 30 of the lots back up or adjoin the common grounds &/or amenities areas. Kilgore Farms features a number of winding streets and quiet cul-de-sacs. Streets throughout Kilgore Farms include sidewalks along one side of the road.
Current amenities in Kilgore Farms are located on a 1.75 acre parcel at the Woodruff Rd entranceway. That parcel includes a swimming pool, kiddie’s pool, a cabana with cookout facilities, and a playground. Another amenities area is planned on a 1.25 acre parcel located more central to the community. That parcel will feature a new clubhouse, swimming pool and more; at this time, construction on those items has not begun. The Kilgore Farms Property Owners Association also has an 8.5 acre parcel of open land that runs along Peters Creek.
Kilgore Farms is a family oriented community. In addition to nice amenities, a Social Committee schedules periodic activities that allows residents to get together, meet and enjoy their neighbors.
