MIDDLECREEK is an established community 3 miles SE of the city of Easley.  One feature that makes Middlecreek community so attractive is the easy access and commute via US Hwy 123 into downtown Greenville which is only 10 miles to the east.  And golfing enthusiasts will be pleased to know that Middlecreek is less than a mile from the private Smithfields Country Club where golf memberships are available.  Their golf course is a 72 par, 6515 yd. course played at Blue tees; it has a Course Slope Rating of 71.7/130.

Middlecreek is a comfortable medium sized neighborhood of about 195 lots.  The lot sizes range from .4 acres up to 2.7 acres.  Middlecreek is virtually built-out with only a few vacant lots in private hands.  One of the most impressive things as you approach Middlecreek is its attractive entranceway flanked by two picturesque ponds.  These ponds really add an inviting look to the community.  And when you drive through the community, you will notice four additional decorative ponds.  In total, there are six ponds providing scenic views and/or back boundaries to about 50 lots.

The physical layout of Middlecreek subdivision adds to its appeal.  It features a single entrance.  And its main road, Shefwood Dr, winds around the rolling community. Most homes are built on this main loop, but you also find a number of homes located on quiet cross roads, or dead-end courts.  This layout virtually eliminates “through” traffic thereby giving homeowners a greater sense of peace and security with the neighborhood.

Home styles are traditional and present a nice mixture of designs.  Most homes are finished in a brick veneer which adds a quality look to the community.  You will also find some exteriors finished in stucco, stone veneer, wood and/or vinyl materials.  Since many homes were built in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, lawns, landscaping such as shrubs and trees have had time to mature thus providing a very finished look to the community.  The community has Covenants and Restrictions which define the standards for maintaining the value of property within Middlecreek.  The C&R authorizes an Architectural Control Committee to monitor both new construction and improvements.

Middlecreek has a Home Owners Association and the amenities include over 7 acres of common ground which features a wooded buffer zone along the east side of the subdivision.  This amenities area also includes a small creek, walking path, club house, swimming pool, tennis courts, and an exercise facility for the use of Association members.

The area surrounding Middlecreek is primarily residential and is located among other quality residential subdivisions and/or some undeveloped land.  The major commercial corridor for Easley is along US Hwy 123.  As it is less than 2 miles away, good shopping and services are likewise quite accessible.  Additional shopping is readily accessible along the SC Hwy 153 and I-85 corridors which are only a few miles to the southeast.  Pickens County schools which service the Middlecreek community are all conveniently located with in a 2 to 4 mile distance.  It should be noted that a new Easley High School is planned and the ground breaking ceremony was held in January 2008.

Middlecreek is a very nice family oriented community offering a broad range of activities that would be attractive to most homeowners.  The Average Selling Price of homes sold during 2007 was $354,444.  The average size of those homes was 2,670 sq.ft. based on Pickens County Tax Information.  Middlecreek is a very picturesque community that most home buyers find very appealing.  Membership in nearby Smithfields Country Club only offers an added dimension of social and golfing activities for the family.

Middlecreek is a quiet inviting community that offers nice homes and a convenient location with easy access to many of Upstate attractions.
